Test Engineer - Mission Software (Top Secret/SCI with agreement to obtain CI Poly)

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Test Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile Scrum team supporting an Intelligence Community program. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination. In this position, you will play a central role in ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing software solutions, developing and executing comprehensive test strategies that support rapid, iterative delivery while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Responsibilities: Lead the planning, development, execution, and documentation of comprehensive test strategies for complex software systems, including functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing activities. Design and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and coverage, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD deployment workflows. Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, systems engineers, and Scrum Masters to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality is built into every release. Analyze system requirements and technical documentation to create detailed test plans and test cases. Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Validate system performance, reliability, security, and scalability against mission requirements. Generate test metrics, status reports, and quality assessments for program leadership and customer stakeholders. Mentor junior test engineers and promote quality engineering best practices across the program.
