Frontend Development Internship

Listed as a remote role based in Paris, Île-de-France, France. We are looking for a Frontend Development Intern to support our technical work and data visualization efforts. At Gulf Associates, we provide commercial advice that helps leaders make difficult investment and partnership decisions. In this role, you will help build the tools that turn complex market research into clear, interactive visuals. For example, we are currently working with a client that is a Paris-based group facing a series of high-stakes market entry decisions. Your work will directly assist in presenting scenario models and competitor data to their senior leadership team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from any location while staying connected with our lead consultants and technical staff. What you will do Convert static designs and wireframes into clean, functional HTML and CSS code for our internal platforms. Assist in building interactive data dashboards that help clients visualize complex investment scenarios and market shifts. Collaborate with our research associates to understand the commercial logic behind the data you are bringing to the screen. Debug interface issues and conduct testing across multiple browsers to ensure a reliable experience for client-side users. Help maintain our component library to ensure consistency across different project prototypes and client portals. Write clear documentation for the frontend components you build so other team members can understand the logic. Participate in regular technical check-ins to review your code and discuss better ways to display intricate financial or market data. Support the deployment of new features for our decision-support tools, including our current project for the Paris-based client. What you bring A foundational understanding of modern HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Some experience using a frontend framework like React, Vue, or Angular, perhaps through university projects or personal coding work. A strong eye for visual order, including proper use of spacing, alignment, and typography to make data readable. Interest in business and commerce, with a desire to see how technical tools can support real-world investment decisions. The ability to follow a technical brief closely while asking smart questions when requirements are unclear. A disciplined approach to remote work, showing reliability in meeting deadlines and managing your own schedule. Basic knowledge of Git for version control and a habit of writing clean, readable code. Strong communication skills in English, as most of our reporting and internal coordination happen in written form.
